A typical morning around here

Alaina (walking into her room): "Good morning beautiful! I missed you! Time to wake up. Are you ready to say a prayer?"

Adrie: "Nah, I just want to talk to you for a minute first."

Alaina: "Okay. How was your night?"

Adrie: "Good. The sun came up. What are we gonna do today?"

Alaina: "We're gonna go to Tanner's house while I go to work, and then go to the park for a dinner picnic and kick the soccer ball..."

Adrie: "Okay! Let's pray."

Wedding Preview

So, my little sister got married. I have family who are dying to see pictures but I'm still out of town and don't have my own photoshop setup for editing. So here are some pretty basic shots until I get home to real editing and business-blog posting - so stay tuned!

The formal cake was a cupcake tower made by my sister Natalie. I am still drooling a little bit at 1) how impressive her cupcakes were and 2) how delicious they tasted.

Once upon an August...

...we went camping again and Adrie bathed in mud, then washed herself off like a mermaid and came up exclaiming "I got baptized! I get to eat bread and water now!"... I went to Boston to go midnight swimming (or skinny dipping, take your pick) in Walden Pond.

...I came to Portland for family frenzy (pre-Kendall's wedding.) I'm feeling nostalgic already for the easy life of four sisters sans boys (love you Josh!)...Sister-cousins (and LOTS of other family) joined us for a rehearsal dinner. No rehearsing involved.

...My child grew crazier. Tonight she ran around chasing boys, and after catching them she'd a) push them over -or- b) kiss them. Yes darling, many women the world over can't decide which to do with them either. In the airport yesterday she lost a shoe, then purposely kicked it all the way off and started running through the terminal shouting "I lost my slipper! My slipper! My slipper!"

Haaaay! Life is good.
