Just in case you were wondering:

In the last 7 days
  • I was called as Relief Society (religious women's organization) Education Counselor, set apart, and had two meetings already
  • I've worried about my new tasks of 1) the RS Newsletter message overdue already 2) teaching next Sunday 3) conducting next Sunday. (Dang those summer vacations for putting the newbie in charge of a one-woman show!)
  • Attended Traffic School in SLC
  • Watched my first ever Chuck Norris movie "Lone Wolf McQuade"
  • Spent every free moment in photoshop and finished this gorgeous wedding
  • My GoogleReader hit 200+. Sorry to all of you whose blogs I am not reading.
  • I hosted an informal dinner party at my house - with three 2.5 year-olds running around
  • Held my first ever 2-hour Googlechat. Why we didn't just talk on the phone, I don't know, but it was a fun, great talk and now I can re-live it whenever I want lol
  • Had two photoshoots on Saturday - with a busy errand day sandwiched in between
  • Was informed Friday night (during my dinner party) that I was speaking in church on Sunday
  • Spoke in church today while Adrie shouted "That's my mom! Let go of me!" as a beehive hauled her out
  • Kept that baby entertained through all three hours of church. (Nursery cancelled due to swine flu). Not the right day to wear a short skirt and heels.
Are you exhausted yet? Today I'm visit teaching and making random calls & duties that go with my new calling, and trying to be a good mom to a baby with a fever. (Hope it's not swine flu (kidding!)).

I still love my life, it's just growing a little... different...? It's time I stretched myself outside myself, I guess :) Happy Sunday!

Oh, Paramore

Here's the song of the day. Remember how I love paramore? Here and at many other times?

Well, Paramore has rung true again.

I know Riot! is an old album, but hallelujah for rediscovering music.

I can't stop singing this song.

June Photo Dump {Part One}

Mini-Vacation #1: Fishing at Jordanelle Reservoir. No, I didn't bait or hold the pole (I don't have a fishing license) but it was still a great experience. We even dug up the worms ourselves. And got poured on - rainy, rainy day. Fun fun fun.

Event #2: G&G's 55th Wedding Anniversary Party! Including the traditional 50th birthday ruby ring for mom (there are the hands of everyone who's got one) and a family hot tub party after. We love our SLC get togethers.
More to come but it's late and blogger is slow. It just gets better!

Some of our life

This is what happens when you leave a whole pound of orange sticks in your car while you get your hair done.
With a big, sharp knife they made rather delicious cookie slices. The grocery store stopped carrying my dark chocolate orange sticks; so after traipsing all the way to the BYU Bookstore to fill my craving I wasn't about to give up one drop.

This weekend explored the Utah Lake Festival with work friends. Adrie cried and cried because she wanted to find "My boat. Where's MY boat?" Below see the girls "fishing." Mostly for sludge - I can't imagine getting in that water.
We've had the lucky chance to explore a friend's gorgeous garden several times, even getting to hold baby chickens! Today Adrie ate her weight in strawberries straight from the garden. She also thought the peas from the pod were pretty cool. Below she's chasing chickens, saying "I wanna touch 'em!" There are two cats that follow us around, too, one of which she calls the "Mean Cat" because he looks just like Lucifer from Cinderella.

This girl keeps me constantly entertained - a word I hear often to describe her is "hilarious." She has definitely developed a sense of humor and says things because she knows they'll be funny.

  • Driving home from church I heard her softly say "I love you. I... love you, my highness. I love Robin Hood. I love him."
  • She is also obsessed with swimming, and either a) being a frog or b) being baptized in the water. While having a non-swimming conversation with her, she said "I need to go find my frog food. I've gotta lick my frog food." I gave her a lecture about how we don't lick pool water and it will make you sick, to which she started to cry, "But it's my FOOD! It's HEALTHY for me! It will make me BIG and STRONG!" Ahahahaha.

Never a dull moment!
