We ran off to McDonald's to grab breakfast and then ate it in the hospital room while we waited. The book "Life of Pi" kept me busy and Kurt watched the news about Vioxx and other drugs the FDA is trying to approve again. After about an hour they brought her back to us... whimpering a little, but not screaming like the other kids around us. She is definitely a lot bigger than she was as a newborn, as those hospital blankets just didn't cut it in trying to bundle her up and keep her arms out of her face! She cried a little but for the most part watched Disney Cartoons while we hung out for recovery. Our nurse kept coming in and every time she left she'd say, "I don't want to leave her, she's just so cute and so good!"
Here's an example of her watching cartoons on the tv...
Her eye will probably swell shut in the next day and stay that way for a couple of days, and then we won't see the full result of where her eyelid will stay for about three weeks.
Thank you for all of your prayers and support!
