Lucky - Oh so lucky

Precisely one year ago today I wrote this post about Ingrid Michaelson's "Glass" - a sad, melancholy song that described my life with eerie accuracy.

As I reflect on the last year of my life, words can't describe the overwhelming gratitude I feel for how blessed I am.  Life throws some crazy things at you, but if you're living right you have no need to fear.  My most prized posession is the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and living with that as my daily companion leaves me happy every single day.

So, one year later, I give you the song for today.  No eerily accurate message, just an upbeat, delicious song that inspires excitement and hope.  That describes my life today - hopeful, upbeat, and simply excited.  Plus, I'm sort of obsessed with duets lately... maybe I'll post a playlist of those soon.

"Lucky...I'm in love w/ my best friend" are the words to this little ditty. R U trying to tell us something?

I've had that song in my ipod for the last 6 months, and get SO happy everytime it comes on. I'm running along the canal singing "Do you hear me? I'm talkin' to you. Across the water, across the deep blue..."

Carolee - you crack me up! I said "no eerily accurate message"...

I do love the line "Lucky to have been where I have been."

Everything combines for our good. :)
