*Kurt had eye surgery (ptosis repair, aka the same thing as Adrie) and it is swollen and purple and looks absolutely awful. Poor guy is half asleep all the time when he's not worrying about ice and pills and internal bleeding. Before it started swelling he looked like a different person with two wide open eyes! Really!
*Adrie looks kinda funny with her two front teeth coming in miles apart. Hello, Bucky! My precious baby is becoming somewhat dorky looking.
*While at the hospital thismorning I read an interesting article on kids and technology. It said to teach your kids that their blogs could be internet-archived forever and even years down the road future job interviewers, college application reviewers, and many others could find junk that could sink them. Interesting thought to keep in mind for myself even.
*I learned such COOL stuff in my photoshop class last night and I'm just so excited about all of it and I wish there were a bazillion hours in the day to do everything I want to, like doctoring up fun photos, more scanning stuff and family history, photo restoration (G&G's pics), business and web page building. Any ideas for me on a niche I could find in the market that is actually profitable? I can't stop thinking about it.
*To further Natalie's idea that Kurt and I are obsessed with strange cat photos (really, we're not!) my brother in law Kevin showed me the greatest site called Kitten Wars. Sounds demented, but it's actually so fun and addicting! Go vote for your favorite kitten photo. I'm going to upload the one of Indigo in the cinder block as soon as my real computer gets up and running again. Aaaaargh even now as I went to that website to make sure the link works I had to vote on a few. I love kittens.
*I saw Pirates last night finally. I didn't get half of it. I guess that's what I get when I'm not a repeat-movie-watcher. that's why, sadly, I can't see or read Harry Potter until I either a) read them all again, which isn't likely to happen until I do it with Adrie as a fourth-grader or b) find some great cliff's notes.
*At the hospital thismorning (again) I read another great article on homeschooling. I have NEVER found the idea attractive but this great article really got me thinking. I think the IDEAL situation would be to have my kids in school half a day (high school, at least) where they do math, science, choir, and gain social interaction. After that it would be so fun to explore whatever else interests them and I bet you'd cover a whole lot of topics, and learning would be a fun and exciting thing. Like, if your eight year-old is obsessed with swords, you study everything imagineable related to swords - the metals they're made of, the times in history they were made, what dynasties used them, why they rust, etc. etc. etc. It sounds like a lot of work though, too.
*Okay it's not even nine o'clock and I'm dying for bed. (Cuz I stayed out til 2 am watching Pirates.) Good night everyone!

OKAY.....I SAW 100 CUTE kittens while I was babysitting the Bri-mister and Kendall...everyone else went to bed...I'll admit they were pretty cute...but so were my 7 pairs of Clark shoes...unfortunately they were hiding in my bedroom away from G's eyes.......

Wikipedia: that's what I used to figured out what the heck was going on with the Lemony Snicket books when I had lost the desire to read any more! ;) I'm sure the Harry Potter section is huge.
I know just what you mean about homeschooling, Alaina -- I used to feel the same way! I think a big part of it for me, at least, was that I didn't like what I saw in any of the homeschooling families I knew -- until I met Tim. He and his siblings were homeschooled after a few years at public school and they LOVED it. They were done with academics by noon every day, so they had time (and were encouraged) to actually go out in the REAL world and interact with people of all different ages -- so socially they were very mature! They took classes at community centers and colleges, interacted regularly with other homeschooling families to do plays, field trips, science experiments, etc. They always had the option to go back to public school, though, if that's what they wanted, and Tim's sister actually went back for her senior year (after she had earned her diploma through correspondence) so she could go to prom, etc! She is now homeschooling her kids, and watching her has been a real inspiration for me -- can you tell I'm excited about this? ;) Here's a link she sent me a few years ago that really got my wheels turning...! It looks like you'll have to copy/paste: http://answers.google.com/

A dorky baby, that's funny. Where are the pictures? You have posted any of that sweet baby for some time. You know her favorite aunt can't be around to see her...
I wasn't a huge fan of Pirates either. You're in similar company.
The good news about my new phone is the fact that I get all your photos the FIRST time you send them. Huzzah!
Yes, have Adrie only go to a half day of school so she can come home to learn about swords and swordfighting and play online role play games with other sword obsessoes. Then, hopefully, she can join the Renaissance club at BYU!
No homeschooling sounds like a bad idea. My friend Michelle found out that none of the home school credits that she took last year 10 out of the 12 transfer over to our highschool so now if you want to graduate with us she has to make up practically a whole year. Homeschooling sounds a little shifty. Baby sounds cuter than ever. can't wait to see her in less than 7 days!
