Some of our life

This is what happens when you leave a whole pound of orange sticks in your car while you get your hair done.
With a big, sharp knife they made rather delicious cookie slices. The grocery store stopped carrying my dark chocolate orange sticks; so after traipsing all the way to the BYU Bookstore to fill my craving I wasn't about to give up one drop.

This weekend explored the Utah Lake Festival with work friends. Adrie cried and cried because she wanted to find "My boat. Where's MY boat?" Below see the girls "fishing." Mostly for sludge - I can't imagine getting in that water.
We've had the lucky chance to explore a friend's gorgeous garden several times, even getting to hold baby chickens! Today Adrie ate her weight in strawberries straight from the garden. She also thought the peas from the pod were pretty cool. Below she's chasing chickens, saying "I wanna touch 'em!" There are two cats that follow us around, too, one of which she calls the "Mean Cat" because he looks just like Lucifer from Cinderella.

This girl keeps me constantly entertained - a word I hear often to describe her is "hilarious." She has definitely developed a sense of humor and says things because she knows they'll be funny.

  • Driving home from church I heard her softly say "I love you. I... love you, my highness. I love Robin Hood. I love him."
  • She is also obsessed with swimming, and either a) being a frog or b) being baptized in the water. While having a non-swimming conversation with her, she said "I need to go find my frog food. I've gotta lick my frog food." I gave her a lecture about how we don't lick pool water and it will make you sick, to which she started to cry, "But it's my FOOD! It's HEALTHY for me! It will make me BIG and STRONG!" Ahahahaha.

Never a dull moment!

There really is never a dull moment when it comes to kids. They are just too entertaining. I love it! Glad you were able to salvage some of your orange sticks.

I don't think my little guy is going to be saying things like "I love you, Robin Hood." I kind of wish he would, though! Little girls sound like so much FUN! Especially yours!

Is it just me or is your hair really dark in that picture?
