*I need to remember that short blogs are better than no blogs. I feel under this pressure to have good ones.
*Adrie discovered the toilet and toilet paper. Mmm mmmm good.
*She now pulls herself to standing with one hand or less and is testing out the whole letting-go thing to see how long til she falls (approximately 0.7 seconds currently.)
*Try as I might, I just cannot make myself eat fruits and vegetables. My favorite right now is frozen peas (cooked of course) and it's about all I can eat. Bananas, which used to be a guaranteed fall-back, have the most disgusting texture ever and I can only make it through 3/4 of one before I will vomit if I eat another bite.
*Kevin is the best brother in law ever and set up my home computer so that it connects directly to my web page - which I am madly building. Soon, the great unveiling will occur.
*I made those "Cafe Rio" recipes for the first time. They taste nothing like Cafe Rio but they were still pretty good. Shredded beef, creamy tomatillo dressing, and even homemade tortillas. Kevin had seconds, so it must've been pretty good.
*Adrie won't eat some foods that I share with her, and somehow after seeing her spit out a mouthful of what I once thought was delicious I find myself second guessing how good they really are - and usually they don't taste as good after. (That happened this morning with Oatmeal, which I have since decided tastes sort of like glue, and yesterday with Bean with Bacon soup - which now tastes like pure salt.)
*I've said it before, and I will say it again - Craigslist is like manna from heaven. Sold our leather couches for 500 bucks this week. And a desk the week before that for 100. How cool is that! They might've ended up at DI otherwise.
*Restless sleep sucks. Both Kurt and I toss and turn alll night and we keep our house at 76 at night so it's not like we're hot. Any ideas for us? Please?
*I don't know what kind of jammies to buy Adrie because currently she is so hard on them (crawling) that anything I buy is going to be ruined. But her little feet are now poking through the bottoms of the ones she's wearing now. Sigh. Kids are expensive.

Just cut the feet off of her pj's, and let them wear until they fall off. That'll teach her to ruin clothes!
Hahaha, I hate the texture of most fruits. I think apples are the only fruit I can eat consistently without getting grossed out.
That's funny about Adrie spitting out your food. I never thought about that! We probably just eat the food we do because we're used to the taste and then don't realize how gross it is!
Remember how Adrie likes to eat paper? I don't think her and TP is a good combination.
You even hate watermelon? Can that even be possible? ;)
And as for sleep. Well, I'll tell you what to do if you REALLY want to sleep better while you're in bed: just don't sleep as much -- at least for a while! It's called sleep restriction therapy, and trust me, it works, although it IS a bit of a tough pill to swallow. :)
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE used baby clothes! I know it grosses some people out, but I figure I know how to get cloth clean, and I've found TONS of brand-name, super-cute, high-quality clothes for CHEAP! It looks like you have a Children's Orchard near you -- it might be worth your time to just check it out! Plus, no one will even know you bought them used -- just think of how Adrie's new clothes look after she wears (and crawls in and spills on and has blowouts in) them only a few times!
What?! You sold your couches? The ones you got your cat declawed for?
Just wait until Adrie is five and her clothes cost as much as yours! And then you also have to pay for ballet lessons, friends' birthday gifts, school supplies, etc. Kids are expensive - but worth it!
