I spent the last couple of weeks surveying my ward - yes, 45 actual questions handed out to every person I could catch in the ward. This resulted in over 200 answers for our very own "survey" for Family Feud.
These very unique ward/area/church-specific questions have kept me entertained for the last week as I tallied up the answers.
How would YOU answer the following?
- What is your favorite Sunday activity?
- Name something missionaries do.
- How long could you live on the food storage in your home today?
- At what age was your first kiss?
- Name an event in which a prayer is said before it begins.
Well, the ward responded hilariously and it made for a super entertaining, memorable ward party. Nearly every adult in the room got to participate in a "family" to play our very realistic game - buzzers, scoreboard, corny game-show-host jokes and all.
I laughed right out loud at a few of these answers - Missionaries "break rules", lots of people "Nap" on Sunday (so I knew those people don't have kids yet), a prayer is said before "church basketball", and how long could you live on the food in your home today - "TWO HOURS!!!" I still laugh when I tell that one out loud, it caught me so off guard.
I'm loving my ward and having a ward family again.

This is HYSTERICAL! I'm totally passing this idea on to my activities committee friends (with full credit to you, of course) =)
I'm glad your party was such a success! I only wish I could have seen it in action... I've ALWAYS wanted to play a real-life Family Feud. GENIUS!
That sounds so fun! I can't wait to hear about it this week. I'm going to VISIT YOU!!
You don't know me, I am a friend of Raquel Allen's and occasionally look at your blog. Your girl is darling. I wanted to comment on this post because my husband & I are the activites committee for our ward and I LOVE This idea!! We will just have to try it out I think. Very creative, thanks for the great idea!
there's no way I will answer those questions in writing :) glad you had such a fun activity.
Oh man, I love the Family Feud! Well first of all I LOVE the Adrie posts. Second of all I keep thinking about the picture of her on the couch in just her pink fuzzy vest. I Laughed out loud today in my math class just thinking about it. Two weeks!
Lainey! Thanks so much for your sweet comments, you know how it is the last part of pregnancy and you feel just MASSIVE so you made me feel really good. :)
ALso, thanks for the tips on this Family Feud - we are going to do it for our summer party! How fun is it that we can make friends through the blogging world. ;)
Have a good day!
I didn't know you were in charge of the activity! That was so much fun. Love your blog and I especially love your pictures. I really do want you to take pictures of my baby when she is born! I've looked at other photographers and by far you are the most impressive. What talent!
