Adrie spent Friday and Saturday with eyedrops that blur the vision in her good eye, in an effort to force her to use her bad eye more. It didn't work. Four more weeks to try this, and I'm dreading it - she mostly settles for just playing semi-blind. Bumping into things, being onry, not focusing on things far away. So our duck pond party may get repeated when her vision isn't so handicapped. It was still fun.
After this little excursion she finally added the duck sound to her repertoire - "Wack, wack."
For history's sake, her animal sounds are "Arf!" dog, "Bffffff" bee, "Boh" cow, "A-a-a-a-aaa" sheep, "Raa?" cat, *Grunt* pig, "Aaaa-aaa!" rooster, "Wah-wah-wah" truck, "Ahhhhh" dinosaur, and "Wack-wack" duck. Everyone who ever hears her pig bursts out laughing, I still am amazed that she imitates the sound of a diesel engine, I always laugh at how wide she opens her mouth to growl for the dinosaur, and her sheep and rooster are so loud it's embarassing in church. Not more embarassing, however, than her clapping and loudly yelling "Yay!" "Yay!" "Yay!" for all the people with their arms folded during the opening prayer today.

She is so cute! I LOVE the "Wack, wack!" It's a sad day when they start saying things the correct way. Ashlyn is slowly losing her cute "Ashlyn-isms!" Looks like you had a fun time!
Oh wait, I just about started with "she is so cute", too! I wish I could hear all those animal sounds -- Joseph just really isn't into that for some reason, except for a dinosaur roar. I love that shot of Adrie in her sunglasses and coat! :)
Glad you had a good weekend Lain! Great photos. Minus the duck parts.
I need a video of all these fun things!
No snow on the ground? Yipee for you! I LOVE baby animal sounds! I realized lately that I've got Madilyn saying "Raaaahhhhrr!" for lion, bear AND dinosaur. I heard Adrie came up with the car noise on her own. What a smart little cookie!
It is so good to hear that other people's children do embarrassing things in church too! Matthew yelled out "Nursery" at the end of the openning prayer in Sacrament Meeting on Sunday. It was a long hour. :) Are you ready for #2 yet? It just gets more fun!!
I am diggin the baby Kanye glasses.
I want to go to church with Adrie! It sounds fun.
She is such a doll! I love all the sounds she makes. Your picturs are great!
I love looking at the pictures on your blog. They're like postcards, but of people I know. This one with Adrie chasing ducks should be converted to black & white and sold as the sample picture when you buy a frame.
These are such great pictures Alaina! I need to learn all your photography secrets. It was so nice meeting you. I hope Adrie is feeling better.
