New Tricks:
- "Keem up! Keem up!" (clean up)
- "I'll hold 'em" pointing out candy or toys she wants in books. She grasps futilely at the page, trying to hold whatever it is she wants, and is quite frustrated when she can't 'hold' it.
- "Lick 'em" or "Eat it" as she licks at or tastes the page of whatever in her book looks good.
- "I'll hold it." Same as above, but to things like a pretty car, a helicopter in the sky, or anything she wishes she could hold.
- "So sorry." If she even moves to hit me or anything where she sees that look on my face, she instantly turns sweet and strokes my hair and says "So sorry Mom", usually followed with gentle kisses. How can I argue with that!?
Our bedtime routine has added a new element - "Sing!" It's quite flattering to have the daughter who yells "No!" when I try to sing in the car songs like "Little bunny foo-foo" or "There was a little house in the middle of the woods" beg me to sing at bedtime. There are the staples like "I am a child of God" and "I love to see the temple" but we're varying it a little bit with Broadway, high school jazz choir pieces, and other things to broaden her horizons.
And lastly, here's the ten-second attention span for a prayer.

That's so funny. I can see what you mean, who could resist such a sweet face?! Coupled with soft kissed and "So sorry" - you're in for it! :)
Ahaha, she's the cutest niece in the world. Best roomie, too.
Lol Tayla does the same thing with hitting and then turning sweet, stroking my hair and face! only difference is she says "i sowwee". And seriously how can you get mad at that?! Oh how I miss Adrie!
Haha! What a cute video.
Looks like you got caught more than anything!
LOL! I had to watch it 5 times and laughed my head off EVERY time. You can see why we learned to "hold hands" during family prayer to corral the youngest...love you love you....
