Hilarious moments of today:
1) When at the airport gate Adrie started touching everyone's suitcases and saying "Mom! It's sooo soft!" She walked around caressing each one in sight, much to the delight of our gate-mates. And then began spinning circles, saying "So dizzy! I'm so dizzy. This is fun."
2) When boarding the plane she happily waved to those still in the lobby - "Goodbye everyone! Goodbye! Merry Christmas!"
3) Waiting for the plane to take off she kept saying "Can we fly in the sky? Fly in the sky mom? We're gonna fly in the sky?"
4) Upon walking through the Portland terminal she randomly started shouting "Papa! Papa! Where ARE you Papa?"
5) The monkey backpack. It gets looks and points and chuckles everywhere we go. What people don't understand is that she WILL NOT STAY BY ME without it. Heck, she barely stays by me with it. It's a lot like walking a large dog with a battle of will between who can pull harder.
6) When we got to the Portland house, Grandma Jan had a present for Adrie to open. She took a solid 3 minutes carefully ripping off piece by piece of paper, only to get to the Cardboard box underneath. She happily exclaimed "A box! I got a new box mom! Look! A new box!" She then went to grab another present.
We are happy to be here!
